Meet Evan O'Brien, CPA

Evan O'Brien, CPA

Founder, O'Brien CPA · Former Bank CFO

Evan O'Brien is a Texas-licensed Certified Public Accountant and former bank Chief Financial Officer who brings an executive's perspective to the financial decisions business owners face. At Sonora Bank, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer before becoming Chief Investment Officer, with more than a decade of experience across banking, financial analysis, treasury management, and investment strategy. Earlier in his career, he held positions with USAA and Advisors Asset Management.

Through his CPA practice, Evan helps owners with tax preparation and CPA-level guidance, applying the same analytical discipline he brought to the C-suite. He holds Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Finance and in Accounting from Texas State University and an MBA in Finance from Our Lady of the Lake University. Evan lives in Boerne, Texas, with his family.
